Jennifer Kendall began her career as a special education teacher at Bryan Station High School before moving to Anderson County to teach seventh-grade Language Arts. In 2000, Kendall became the first reading specialist at Paul Laurence Dunbar High School. Other leadership experience includes associate principal at Tates Creek Middle School (2006-08), principal of Leestown Middle School (2008-12), associate director of Human Resources for Fayette County Public Schools (2012-13), and associate principal at Jessie Clark (2013-20).
While at JCMS, Kendall has worked with other key members of staff and parent leadership to create the WEB program (Where Everyone Belongs), which is a student leadership and mentoring program, as well as developing new club opportunities for student involvement such as archery, intramurals, photography, and Anime. Her core beliefs are that academics and extra-curricular opportunities for students form a solid foundation for student success after middle school. These opportunities prepare students academically, but also socially which promotes college and career readiness.
We are all in this together at Jessie Clark where we Value Self, Value Others, Value Learning… Every Person, Every Day.
